Drawing her inspiration from the world of baking, designer Pia Chevalier imagined her mugs as a collection of sweet treats. The oversized handle emulates the shape of a doughnut, and the enamel finish gives the piece a sugar-glazed coating look. Taking the culinary analogy to the next level, each of the collection’s colours hints at different doughnut flavours: Lemon, Vanilla, Cherry, Blueberry, Bubble Gum, and Pistachio. Made in Portugal, the design of these ceramic mugs is grounded in craftsmanship. The hand-produced enamelling makes each piece unique. The thick texture echoes the voluptuousness of a doughnut, and the mug’s volume offers a generous 9cm-high countenance for tea, coffee, and other beverages.
