Victorian 7.80ct Sapphire and Diamond Bangle, c.1880s

A dazzling collection of sapphires and diamonds are proudly on display in this beautiful Victorian bangle. Each sapphire is an old oval cut stone, graduating down in size from the 1.60 carat centre stone. The flanking pair weighs 1.10 carat each, the next two sit at 0.90 carat, then 0.75 carat and finally 0.70 carat at each end. Each sapphire is of Burmese origin, certified by WGI. Set between the sapphires a total of 1.40 carat in old cut diamonds complement the display perfectly, themselves also graduating down in size from two 0.25 carat stones in the centre to 0.10 carat at either end. Each diamond ranges in colour from F to G and in clarity from VS to SI. Expertly crafted in 18 carat yellow gold, this handcrafted bracelet is 17cm in width and a true beauty of Victorian jewellery design.
